“A tale of two dudes, their wines, and the journey that ensues…”
Our Story
Keaton Burlington and Dylan Pecchenino were both born and raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Despite this similarity their paths did not cross until attending Cal Poly SLO where they studied wine and viticulture together. Throughout their college years the two dudes became close and shared many adventures both near and far. After receiving their degrees, a 44 day stint in Europe followed. With only a handful of cash and a rough plan, they were able to navigate 5 countries and soak in European culture. They enjoyed the beauty that surrounded the simple yet intentional living, and undeniable magic that surrounded winemaking in towns such as Barolo. This inspirational trip acted as the perfect catalyst for the next stage of their journey.
Their vision started to come to fruition when they both took an internship to work together under the guidance of Justin Smith at Saxum Vineyards. They developed a bond with the team at Saxum, and Keaton went on to work there for the next six years. Dylan has had the opportunity to work for various esteemed brands over the years such as Turtle Rock and Ledge in Paso Robles. He then followed his now wife, Madison, up to Napa Valley where he first worked at Dana Estates, and now Aonair and Reverie II in St. Helena.
Throughout the last few years their work has begun to take shape in what you see in front of you today. This brand is playful and quirky, yet polished and deliberate. Pec&Burl manages to encapsulate these two as people, aspiring creatives, and lifelong friends. Their wines showcase the excellent vineyards from which they are sourced. Their goal since they started this at 22 years old has been to keep developing as a team and as they develop so do their wines. They are on a never-ending and ever-changing pursuit of creating the best wines imaginable.
They would love to bring you on their journey and have the opportunity to show you what they got! Please feel free to reach out and inquire about the dudes, their wines, or anything in between!
